Born in Fayette County, Alabama in 1910, Jimmy Sudduth began to paint almost immediately. At age three, Jimmy collected charcoal from the fireplace and mud from the yard to form his creations. To this day, Jimmy incorporates mud, sugar, coffee grinds, house paint, and a myriad of other ingredients to make his work live on pieces of plywood. Laboring in his small town for years, Sudduth began to paint full time in the 1960s. Jimmy's talent inspires hundreds of collectors to acquire one of his many portraits of people, his dog Toto, a beautiful landscape, or an architectural painting. Jimmy's unique works and style can be seen in many galleries and collections throughout the world. At Home has visited Jimmy for more than 10 years and always maintains a wonderful selection of his works.
